Back home. The sting of losing the Final game to Leaside has worn off and the pride of knowing that we are going to Nationals now prevails.
There were so many great moments this weekend.
Shout outs:
Don, we could never thank you enough for what you do and how you do it.
Cappy, you are a great player and a better man. Our quiet leader. It is an honour sharing the field with you. That play to your right in Game 1 against Leaside, preserving the lead, was ridiculous.
Andrew Hyde, we will never take you for granted. Never. An absolute pro.
Max S, you set the table.
Max Z, your performance belied your age. Gutsy.
Mike Asta, Jimmy, and Rizz, you kept us in the Sarnia game but, we just could not finish them off for you. However, making Sarnia play that hard and long most likely ended the rest of the tournament for them.
Ronin, Max S, and Andrew, that Ajax game was too close for comfort, but we pulled it off.
Stonk - you promised a CG and you delivered, punching our ticket to the Nationals. By the way, for future reference, Home Team means we are in the field first.
J.T., Teich, and Rizz, that bullpen game against Leaside was a thrilling. Too bad that could not have been the Final.
Both Throwers had a great tournament. Eric ripped the ball. Alex’s intensity was matched only by what he did in the field and at the plate. Just entered the stats and both Alex AND Eric were beasts at the dish. They led the way all weekend! Dan the man had some key hits and played great defence. Murph was his consistent self, a solid presence on and off the field. Biss gave us fresh legs when we needed them.
Kyle Bowers just keeps on getting better, even though he was injured. Never complained once. Tanner worked and worked. Playing in every game but one. Jorge, gave our catchers reprieve and provided a much needed rest for them in Game 4, as well as coaching up Joe. Thank you Jorge.
David Boatto had some key hits and when he was at 3B, he made every play. Every play.
Noah Case, I love you brother. Three hits against Ajax. Trust me kid, the time will come when you will have more opportunities to make a difference.
El Rino just keeps on hitting the ball hard and he played a stellar 1B all weekend.
Miguele, we knew that you were hurt, but there is no way any of our opponents did. You had a GREAT weekend. At shortstop, you make even the tough plays look easy. We know they are not. Outstanding tournament!
Fozzy, I know you wanted to contribute more, but it was great hanging out with you down the line, sweating every pitch, and pulling for each one of our guys.
Finally…
From all the players, the coaches, the wives, girlfriends, kids, family, friends, parents, and pets that were there, we want you know that we felt the good vibes from all of you that could not make it, but rest assured, we felt that love.
When Cappy addressed the Team on the field after that Windsor win, there were tears and you were there.
When Bounce toasted Whitey and all those that have come before us, there were tears and you were there.
When Jeff Bowers shook my hand, there were tears and you were there.
When I read Anglo’s message on X, when we were in the Parking Lot of the Super 8 laughing and having some pops after punching our ticket, when Hunter Bisser’s parents made it down on Monday, so happy to be able to share it with us, again there were tears.
Tears of joy are the best tears my friends.
You were with us, every step of the way.
We wanted it all, but going to Nationals is a great consolation prize.
BIG love,
Coach Joe

2024 COBA CHAMPIONS
Hello Rangers!
We're back up!
Long time in coming. Coach Joe finally figured out the problem, (with Esty's and Home Page Staff's help).
Took forever though. We are more than halfway through the Season.
Should Coach Joe not bother then? Hell no!
He's on it now. Better late than never...we suppose.
