COBA Major Player of the Week - Kevin Greer
The COBA Major Zero K Bats Player of the Week is Kevin Greer of the Milton Red Sox. Greer, the veteran SS/3B with the Red Sox, had a great week as he played in three games and went 6-for-12 (.500) with three doubles and three singles. He also scored four runs while collecting four RBIs and added a walk.
On the season, Greer is now hitting .343 (12-for-35) with five doubles. He has also scored eight runs while collecting 10 RBIs. Congratulations to Kevin Greer; the COBA Major League Player of the Week

COBA Major Pitcher of the Week - Liam Jacques
The COBA Major Sam Bat Pitcher of the week is Liam Jacques of the Niagara Metros. Jacques, who played last season for Leaside of the GTBL, had a very good week. In his sole appearance of the week, he tossed a complete game (five inning) shutout as the Metros blanked the Brampton Royals 12-0. He allowed only two hits while walking one batter and striking out four.
For the season, Jacques now sits with a 2-0 record. In his 16 1/3 innings of work, he has allowed eight runs (two earned) on 17 hits good for a 1.10 ERA. He has walked eight batters while striking out 11. Congratulations to Liam Jacques; the COBA Major Pitcher of the Week.

COBA Major Team of the Week - Niagara Metros
The COBA Major Zingers Bats Team of the Week are the Niagara Metros. This is their first time winning this honor this year as the Metros went 2-0 in league play. After having their game Thursday rained out, the Niagara club hosted the Brampton Royals in a twin bill taking both ends of it by scores of 12-0 and 6-2.
After just a horrific start due to the weather, the Metros now sit at 3-3 on the season getting back to .500 after a bit of a slow start. Congratulations to the Niagara Metros; the COBA Major Team of the Week.
