Here are the COBA Major Week X POWs and Team of the Week:

 

COBA Major Player of the Week - Tim Sogan

The COBA Major Zero K Bats Player of the Week is Tim Sogan of the Burlington Brants. Sogan, the veteran OF with the Brants, had a great week as he played in two games and went 6-for-9 (.667) with two homeruns, two doubles and two singles. He also scored two runs while collecting five RBIs.

 

On the season, Sogan is now hitting .463 (19-for-41) with five doubles, a triple and four homeruns. He has also scored 10 runs while collecting 19 RBIs. Congratulations to Tim Sogan; the COBA Major League Player of the Week

*Dennis Dei Baning (Etobicoke): 1G, 2-for-3, HR, BB, HBP, 4 Runs, RBI, 3 SB

 

COBA Major Pitcher of the Week - Justin Ayles

The COBA Major Sam Bat Pitcher of the week is Justn Ayles. Ayles, the veteran hurler for the Niagara club, had a very good week. In his two appearances, he tossed eight innings in collecting a 1-0 record. He allowed only one run (earned) on two hits while walking one batter and striking out five.

 

For the season, Ayles now sits with a 2-1 record. In his 21 innings of work, he has allowed 12 runs (seven earned) on 20 hits good for a 3.00 ERA. He has walked 10 batters while striking out 15. Congratulations to Justin Ayles; the COBA Major Pitcher of the Week.

COBA Major Team of the Week - Erindale Cardinals

The COBA Major Zingers Bats Team of the Week are the Erindale Cardinals. This is their first time winning this honor this year as the Cards went 2-0 in league play. They started off their week winning at home 10-4 over the Milton Red Sox on Canada Day. They followed that up with a tough 13-7 win over the Mississauga SW Twins on the road at Clarkson Park.

 

After a sluggish start out of the gate, the Redbirds now sit at 7-9 on the season good for 2nd place in the Andrews Division currently. Congratulations to the Erindale Cardinals; the COBA Major Team of the Week.
