7/13/2023by D. Estey

The Etobicoke Rangers had a light week of action in COBA Major League play as they only had one game on the week. The Rangers hosted the Milton Red Sox at Connorvale Park. There was no line score available so I can't give any in-game details but the win runs Etobicoke's record to 15-0 on the season.

Lucas Brown led the Rangers at the dish this game going 3-for-3 with a walk, a pair of runs and an RBI. Dan Franceschetti was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs, two RBIs and a stolen base while Hunter Bisser was 1-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base.

Alex Thrower was 1-for-3 with a pair of runs and a stolen base while Josiah Devapalan was 1-for-4 with a home run, a run and four RBIs. Ryan Panas wrapped up the Etobicoke offense with a walk and a run scored. Aaron Nash led the Milton charge at the plate going 3-for-5 with a run and two RBIs while Michael Ong was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.

On the mound, Max Skoropadsky drew the start and collected the win in this game as he went five innings allowing one run (earned) on six hits. He walked two batters while striking out four. Mike Asta followed him to the mound tossing two innings allowing now runs on no hits while walking two and striking out six.

Ian Zwartz threw the final two innings of the game allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits. He walked one batter while striking out two. Tyler MacKillop took the loss for Milton.
